We enjoyed the Scrumpy at this pub on Dartmoor on several occasions.
The lady behind the bar told us that the fire in the inglenook fireplace had been burning for 300+ years non-stop!
Aaaarrrhh, me deearrrs! When I was a national serviceman in 1956 at RAF Credenhill the cider from nearby Hereford in a small country pub was 8d (3.5p) a pint - and potent! Two pints delivered in halves over the course of an evening was most definitely my limit.
Those were the days - it is now £3.70 a pint (but worth it)
